Glassblowing Furnace
The furnace used to melt the glass from its processed state is always on except for times of repair and maintenance. The furnance is powered by electricity and runs at a temperature of 1200 degrees celsius, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The glass is in a large bowl called a crucible in the center of the oven.
